EDITOR'S WORDS: Shalimar - "Abode of love"
FEATURED POEMS: 2 poems from our collection
DID YOU KNOW?: Win $200 at our poetry competition
BITS 'N' PIECES: Book selection "Love in verse:
Classic poems of the heart" compiled by Kathleen Blease
1. Editor's words: Shalimar - "Abode of love"
Imagine a garden so exquisite that the flowers are always
in bloom, such is the imagery of Indian Emperor Jahangir's
legendary Shalimar gardens. Shalimar means "abode of
love" - where love lives!
Cultivating such a rich garden takes a bit of effort,
however, the beauty produced radiates right from the
'gardeners' to the visitors of the garden.
Turn your home into your own Shalimar garden - where
love reigns supreme. Your friends will notice the
difference and you and your partner will take your
relationship to another level.
We'd love to hear your thoughts on this. You can go
straight here and tell us about your own Shalimar garden
and its fruits. This will be totally anonymous so you don't
have to tell us who you are!
2. Featured Poems
Here's our selection of poems for this week:
When you turn up the tempo
When you turn up the tempo
Of the love between us
My heart brightens its glow
Engulfing my every sorrow
As I joyfully respond
I more than remember
The vice-like bond
Keeping us eternally strung.
With each word you've spoken
With each word you've spoken
Our link will never be broken
With each gesture you've made
Our mutual focus will never fade
With each impression you've left
Our image will never look bereft
I want to thank-you
For doing what you do
With all the strength I can muster
I confess you're my mind-buster
(You blow my mind!)
