"Oak Moon", by Agnieszka (First)
Poetry is often a craft too arduous to write,
Yet at present it employs my psyche with boundless delight-
This is the sole feasible means by which I know to express
How each word your lips reveal to me feels like a silken caress.
Every time your green jewels look searchingly deep into my soul
Like you are taking me apart from my whole,
My body quivers; it is nervous yet eager.
When I finally dare speak... it is too late
All words vanish to heaven in a silent stare,
And in their place the rhythmic dance of my heart fills the air.
It feels like I have known you nothing short of forever,
And to lose you: unthinkable, I hope I will never.
I know your heart is scared to say much right now;
Just trust in us, give it time, and you will discover how.
I love especially when you smile at me-
It sanctions my existence with virgin glee.
I feel like I am in euphoria
And angels are dancing with my soul.
There is no way I would ever want to escape;
With God as my witness I wouldn't, not at any rate.
The full moon is gentle and peaceful in a tranquil sky,
Yet I am screaming at the top of my lungs- WHY!?!
Why couldn't I have met you sooner?
