"I Loved Grandpa's Book", by Joanne (Second)
A large black book sat on a table near his bed. It was a special book he always read. The one book, as a child I could never touch. It was his favorite book he loved so much.
It was his special book and had special pages, of a beautiful lady who never ages. He read that book each and every day. Until last fall when he passed away.
It was his bible he kept by his bed. The big black book he always read. This book more worn than before, when I opened it a photo fell on the floor.
There she was! The lady who never ages. The one he kept hidden in its pages. I saw the most beautiful woman inside, it was a picture of my grandmother as a young bride.
Now I have a son and when he asks to look, I show him the beautiful lady in Grandpa's book. The beautiful lady I keep in its pages. The beautiful lady that never ages.
